Learn the essentials of Jigsaw Print Making with local artist Leslie Nan Moon. Working with a range of traditional tools and materials, you learn the basics of block printing, then take those skills to the next level, creating your own jigsaw block print of an iconic Pacific Northwest salmon (image at left).
To create your Jigsaw Puzzle Linocut print, you’ll carve your salmon design into the linoleum block, then cut the block up like a jigsaw puzzle. Each piece is inked up individually, then put back together before pulling your print.
Ideal for teenage and adult beginners — no experience necessary! Class size is limited to 10 students to ensure individualized attention and a focused learning environment.
