Steve Rosas

Watercolor

Born in Albany, California, watercolor artist Steve Rosas also spent time in New Mexico growing up, and served in the US Marine Corps. 

He studied art privately with Helen Reed and Rex Brandt, and is a Signature Member of Watercolor West. 

Awards to his work include the Division Award in Watercolor, the Juror’s Choice trophy and the First Award at California’s Orange County Fair, as well as the M. Graham & Co. Award. His work is also in the collection of the Victor Miceli Law Library.

“I have always been interested in art,” Rosas says, “but above all, the art of watercolor. No other medium matches it. The way the colors merge on moist paper to me is magical. Need I say more?”
