"When I can catch the spirit of a scene or subject, the snap and surprise of the light, the dramatic darks, the colors, and the spaces between, I get a wonderful feeling. In creating my paintings I learn interesting details about how I view the world. Like a child playing, I enjoy this experience so much that I lose myself in the process. At the end, I feel I have made something good. I hope it will be a contribution to you also."
