Weekend Workshop
🐾 Paws & Paint: Pet Portraits in Acrylic
With Teaching Artist Jane Gonzalez
Bring your beloved furry (or feathered!) friend to life on canvas in this engaging, two-day workshop!
Whether you are a beginner looking to explore acrylics or an intermediate painter looking to elevate your technique, teaching artist Jane Gonzalez guides you step-by-step through the process of painting a vibrant, soulful pet portrait.
Using acrylic paints, you learn to master fur textures, realistic eyes and color mixing in a supportive and relaxed setting. Acrylic paint’s quick dry time allows you to build up many layers in just two days, and it can be applied thickly for texture or watered down for smooth washes.
Held in our intimate studio setting, Jane offers you one-on-one mentorship as you explore acrylic techniques, layering and texturing, with tailored advice to help you refine your composition and color palette. You leave this focused creative experience with at least one completed study, as well as the new skills and confidence to continue your artistic journey.
